Discover History

The Bitterroot is a valley of history. Where Lewis and Clark faced the greatest challenges of their three year expedition. Where the legendary Nez Perce Indians led federal troops on an incredible 1,500 mile pursuit throught the wilderness. Where gold, copper and precious sapphires were discovered and can still be found today. Visit the Big Hole Battlefield, the outlaw trails, the Daly Mansion, St. Mary's Mission, Lolo Pass and the ghost towns of Virginia City and Nevada City, all within easy reach of the ranch.
